In my 20’s, my father and I made a habit of seeing a matinee movie every Friday morning. Since his passing I have continued the tradition on my own, every Friday catching the early show at our local theater here in Napa California. It has been very cathartic and was immensely helpful to me in those first few months after his passing.

In memory of my father, I have decided to turn my little Friday ritual into a weekly review for Panda Manga. My father’s name was Ken, and his nickname among our web design team was “Special-K”, thus the title of this weekly review series. So this goes out to you dad, I’m happy to share your love of movies with our friends, family and the community here at PandaManga.com, we miss you very much! – JP
